Preventive Healthcare- Healthcare online business development
Facing the big expenses in healthcare, some businesses are using internet and virtual world communication technologies to educate consumers about health knowledge and help them to maintain healthy and wellness. I coordinate a Preventive Healthcare Services Group in LinkedIn where we invite expert in Healthcare industry to generate discussion about how to use balanced sheet scorecards system to help healthcare business to manage their financials. At the same time, we also actively generate recommendations for these business future development and business expansion in this blog. We have advised some suggestions regarding to the business risk, online information quality, customer retention and efficient online communication.
Dingo Ball Game - Team Building Activity Development
The game was created by Allan Ellis and Stephen Rowe of Southern Cross University to allow students practice their teamwork skills as well as to help them become better negotiators. Participants can learn how to manage teams as well as how to work together as members of a team by experiencing teamwork from both the coach as well as the team member perspective. This role playing simulation is effective in teaching the importance of planning, adaptability to change, dependability, building trust as well as ability and willingness to provide and accept constructive feedback. I worked with a team to provide suggestions to improve the game.

MarketHealth LLP is a 401k investment financial institution. The investment philosophy is to minimize the loss in the market down trend and maximize the profit in the market up trend. By facing the big competitors and financial crisis influence, CEO of MarketHealth, John Bailey needs help on the marketing strategies for the business growth and projects the future risks of the business nature. Therefore, we created financial crisis timeline, came up with a focus ground synoposis and a risk management report to provide a comprehensive development plan of its business model.

Berkshire Property Advisors is the operating entity of The Berkshire Group that is responsible for the property management of its multifamily portfolio and a series of funds. Its business includes rehabilitating, redeveloping and repositioning high-quality multifamily real estate in major markets and submarkets throughout the United States. By observing the internal audit process, I learned real estate industry accounting features and the potential concerns from management team, such as utility expenses and cost segregation.

NextGen Realty Inc. is a real estate agency dealing with property renting. NextGen Realty offers the largest selection of real estate in the Metro Boston area. My experience in this service agency taught me the accounting system based on the relationship between tenants and landlord and how to use QuickBook to process A/P and A/R.

Intern - Interlock Media Inc.
Interlock Media produces media on the environment and human rights. Its mission is to support informed empowerment at the grassroots and community level by producing educational media works; by carrying media techniques and technologies to the community level; and guaranteeing that production is an inclusive and diversified process. Donation is one of the major income for nonprofit organizations such as Interlock Media. Therefore, using appropriate accounting software to collect donations is very important for nonprofit organization. I used PayPal for Interlock Media.
Committee Member - World Unity, Inc.
It seeks to make a continuing and lasting contribution towards the elimination of all forms of racial, ethnic, religious and cultural bigotry, prejudices, discrimination and biases. I serve as a committee member of this nonprofit organization. Most of the revenue all come from the donations of our membership. We are also planning to hold some seminars by charging a ticket price to help money collection.

Case Competition- NABA National Conference 2008
This is my group in this case competition and we worked together for two weeks to give a presentation about advice for "Kabloom" business strategy. My proposal of "Going Green" got good comments from the judges.
National Light Fair 2007 Guangzhou China
This is with the LED engineer in the exhibition. I assisted the manager with sales negotiation to international investors from worldwide, such as Middle Ease, Europe, Southeat Asia and US.
QIDE Education Fair 2007 Beijing China
As one of the biggest educational institution in China, QIDE hosted this annual education fair. I worked with the representative from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia in this event.
Second Life
I assisted in organizing and coordinating continuing education sessions for certified public accountants across the United States, sponsored by the Maryland Association of CPAs, using an online, internet based virtual reality software platform called "Second Life." Second Life is fast developing 3D virtual world online with the functions including entertainment, shopping, business conference, online education. Professor Michael Kraten in Suffolk University Sawyer Business School first introduced Second Life into Risk Management class and organized a series of seminar for CPE credits with Maryland Association of CPAs in the CPA Island (Second Life). I started assisting with the research in 2008 and I have also introduced Second Life online education in some business conference.
The North East Regional Computing Program, Inc. Conference

The purpose is to share and discuss how NERCOMP campuses are flattening their campuses by using 21st century technologies. Attendees are encouraged to share their ideas, research, and ways they're flattening their campuses in a short, informal lightening round of presentations. We led the Second Life tours around the outdoor classroom and conference room in the CPA Island II. Attendees welcomed this new and innovative ways in which they can flatten their campuses using online conferencing, instant messaging, and voice chatting.
New England Faculty Development Consortium

It is a conference held in Dartmouth University. But it's not just for Dartmouth audiences; it's for a consortium of over three dozen colleges and universities across New England. Although some are liberal arts colleges, others -- like Suffolk, UConn, and UMass -- have large business schools. The presentation about Second Life generated a great interest from audience and they all think Second Life will become more important for future communication.
Knowledge Globalization Conference

Knowledge Globalization Conference is hosted by Sawyer Business School and Journal of Knowledge Globalization with attendees around 200 people coming from countries all over the world. I led a team presenting Second Life online education, including tours around Stanford University Library, University of North Carolina, Lenovo Island and GSU. We successfully realized virtual world and real world conversation by inviting a professor from Montana University to join us from there.
